The Alabama Communities of Excellence (ACE) program is a comprehensive three-phase approach to economic and community development for cities with populations between 2,000 and 18,000. With the mission of helping Alabama’s smaller communities to plan, grow and prosper, ACE partners from the private sector, governmental agencies, and universities work with each community to successfully achieve the vision and goals created during the ACE program

Quotes from Your Town Alabama 2009 participants: "As a new member of our town council, and someone who makes a career of spending my day with small children, I was afraid I’d be overwhelmed and lost in government information. However, this workshop really gave me confidence to go back to my town and feel empowered to be an asset to the government of my town; I had no idea how to build, enhance, restore, or shape a town. Your Town has helped me tremendously."
"We rocked; I was amazed at the amount of work accomplished-wish our consultant could turn out this level of work for our money."
